Terms of Service

HandsThatCare HomeCare Effective Date: April 1, 2026

These Terms of Service outline the conditions under which HandsThatCare HomeCare (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides home care services to clients (“you” or “the client”). By receiving our services, you agree to the terms described below.

1. Scope of Services

HandsThatCare HomeCare provides non‑medical home care services such as personal support, companionship, respite care, and assistance with daily living. Services are customized based on the client’s needs and outlined in an agreed‑upon care plan.

2. Client Responsibilities

Clients or their authorized representatives agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up‑to‑date information regarding care needs
  • Maintain a safe environment for caregivers
  • Communicate changes in health, schedule, or service needs
  • Treat caregivers with respect and professionalism

3. Scheduling & Cancellations

We aim to provide consistent and reliable scheduling. Clients agree to notify us of cancellations or changes as early as possible. Fees may apply for last‑minute cancellations, depending on agency policy.

4. Payment & Billing

Clients are responsible for paying service fees as outlined in their service agreement. Invoices must be paid by the due date. Late payments may result in service interruption or additional charges.

5. Caregiver Conduct

Our caregivers are trained to provide safe, respectful, and professional care. They are not permitted to:

  • Accept personal gifts or money
  • Perform tasks outside the agreed‑upon care plan
  • Provide medical or clinical services unless specifically authorized

6. Privacy & Confidentiality

We protect all personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Client information is used only for care delivery, communication, and administrative purposes.

7. Safety & Limitations

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services if:

  • The environment is unsafe
  • The client engages in abusive or threatening behavior
  • Care needs exceed the scope of non‑medical home care

8. Service Modifications

We may update or adjust services as needed to ensure safety, quality, and compliance. Clients will be informed of any changes in advance whenever possible.

9. Termination of Services

Either party may terminate services with written notice. Any outstanding balances must be paid upon termination.

10. Liability

HandsThatCare HomeCare is committed to providing safe, high‑quality care. However, we are not liable for injuries, damages, or losses resulting from circumstances beyond our control, including unsafe home environments or failure to follow care instructions.

11. Agreement

By receiving services from HandsThatCare HomeCare, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.
