Surrey Training Centre

Exceptional Care Starts With Exceptional Training

Our comprehensive programs prepare caregivers to deliver professional, compassionate, person-centered care.

Our Training Philosophy

At HandsThatCare, we believe that quality care begins with quality training. Our Surrey-based training centre is led by healthcare professionals with real-world experience in hospitals, community health, and home care settings.

Every caregiver who joins our team completes a comprehensive onboarding program that covers clinical skills, person-centered care approaches, cultural sensitivity, and sustainable caregiving practices. We don’t just teach tasks—we cultivate a mindset of compassion, respect, and continuous learning.

Our training is evidence-based, drawing on the latest research in gerontology, dementia care, and healthcare best practices. We also integrate feedback from families and caregivers to ensure our programs remain relevant and effective.

Ongoing Education

Training doesn’t stop after onboarding. We provide regular workshops, skill refreshers, and professional development opportunities to ensure our caregivers stay current with best practices and new research.

Monthly continuing education sessions cover topics like advanced dementia care, fall prevention strategies, nutrition for seniors, and sustainable caregiving innovations. We also bring in guest speakers from hospitals, universities, and community organizations.

Our caregivers have access to a lending library of books, videos, and online resources to support their ongoing learning. We encourage curiosity, questions, and professional growth at every stage of a caregiver’s journey with HandsThatCare.
